How Relai Confiance
was born
A Parisian tech executive, a house in the Loire Valley, and a realisation: nobody was doing this service properly.
Leaving Paris
After more than 10 years as a tech executive in Paris, I wanted to return to the countryside of my childhood. But with one non-negotiable requirement: being able to work remotely without compromise.
Fibre optic mandatory, under 2 hours from Paris, no major structural work. A precise brief โ that of a tech professional who knows what working remotely really means.
The gap in the market
Nobody could help me properly. No property professional tested real connectivity. Surveyors didn't check winter access. Online platforms didn't know the territory.
I had to figure everything out alone: on-site research, real-conditions speed tests, learning the local landscape โ nearby shops, reliable contacts, and above all how to turn my house into a truly connected home.
And I didn't know anyone living the same dual-residency life as me. Nobody had useful advice on the remote work side โ neither from experience, nor on what a tech professional actually needs from a working environment. I learned by trial and error.

The founding realisation
Once settled in the Loire Valley, the next question arose immediately: who looks after my house when I'm not there?
Connected sensors, home automation systems... but cut off from WiFi for 2 weeks without knowing it, with remote intervention impossible. That's when I realised something essential was missing: a trusted local representative, physically present.
Someone who checks the house after a storm or a hard frost. Who puts the bins out. Who receives a parcel. Who raises the alarm at the right moment. Everything no sensor can truly replace.
The formula
Quality photo reports + local tech representative + home health log. Three ingredients nobody was combining.
I understand the needs of second home owners because I am one. I understand the needs of remote workers because I am one. This isn't a generic service โ it's one designed from the inside, by someone who's lived exactly the same frustrations as you.
Why the Loire Valley
A heartfelt choice that became a conviction: high density of Parisian second homes, accessible property prices, endless greenery and a peace of mind Paris can no longer offer. An ideal setting for those who want to slow down without switching off.
But above all โ I followed my heart. My vision is for Relai Confiance to become the national benchmark for second home management. That your home becomes a place to recharge, not a source of stress.
